WEB3 is revolutionising value ownership and exchange. This advent is leading us into a new evolutionary stage. Just as the technology enabled access to information lead to the separation of Church and State, the digitalization of ownership will result in the separation of value and institutions, namely nation states.

We believe the path forward is one where technology enables individuals to organize and collaborate in new frictionless ways, without the need for trust nor institutions.

We're committed to backing think alike founders and projects that push us towards such future.

Thesis

There will be roughly 10 large public blockchains powering the decentralized economy. We found the one for Money in 2015. We are now looking for the other 9.

Identity, governance, citizenship, law, trade, equity, finance, healthcare, energy, down to food and water, all will eventually be governed in one of these global networks. We are pretty sure these networks will be permissionless, trustless and borderless. Most importantly for our case, they'll all have at core well designed incentive schemes to drive desired behaviour in the network... in the form of tokens. At Unblock Capital we are actively managing a portfolio of these digital assets in search of the asymmetrical upside opportunities that will stem from the mass adoption of these protocols.

Portfolio

We've made a number investments in DeFi and FinTechs adjacent to our vision and thesis. Although we're extremely focused, sometimes can't help ourselves to go outside of all that when we meet incredible founders trying to change the world in different ways than ours. #WAGMI.

About

We are a private family office managing a portfolio of WEB3 Digital Assets. We allocate our own capital using straightforward criteria and light speed decision making.

Our founder and Managing Partner is a former entrepreneur with 25 years experience in FinTech. He founded his company in 1997 and served as as CEO throughout the growth stage and until the successful exit to KPMG in 2014.

Having lead his business though WEB1 and WEB2 gives him an unfair advantage in envisioning how WEB3 will play out.
